Die Studierenden kennen den Aufbau von Gesundheitssystemen in Deutschland und Umgebung sowie die rechtlichen und ökonomischen Grundlagen. Ein Vergleich mit anderen Gesundheitssystemen sowie eine Einführung zur Geschichte des deutschen Gesundheitssystems und die wesentlichen Steuerungsmerkmale. Darüber hinaus lernen die Studierenden die Systematik der wesentlichen Organisation und Finanzierung des Systems, indem die beiden Akteure Krankenversicherung (Payer) und Krankenhaus (Player) näher beleuchtet werden. Zudem werden aktuelle gesundheitspolitische Diskussionen aufgezeigt und das Thema Wettbewerb und (digitale) Trends im Megamarkt Gesundheit betrachtet.

The students know the structure of health care systems in Germany and the surrounding area as well as the legal and economic foundations. A comparison with other health care systems as well as an introduction to the history of the German health care system and the essential control features. In addition, students learn the systematics of the essential organization and financing of the system by taking a closer look at the two actors health insurance (payer) and hospital (player). In addition, current health policy discussions are highlighted and the topic of competition and (digital) trends in the health megamarket are considered.
